Jessica Kalei Sheffield, BA

Jessica Sheffield is the Special Projects Manager for Houser Financial Group. A former NASA Educator and 11-year Naval Intelligence veteran, she has also facilitated the liquidation of a 2.5 million GBP estate, managed investment real estate properties worth over 1 million USD, produced media with over 1 million YouTube views, and produced and presented educational panels at conventions in Florida and Texas with over 380 attendees. Jessica’s infectiously positive attitude, penchant for leadership, and simultaneously broad and deep breadth of knowledge has been an overwhelmingly positive addition to the Houser Financial Family.

Jessica earned a BA in East Asian Language and Literature with a minor in Business Management from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida in 2008. She then worked as a Delaware North contracted Educator for NASA at the Astronaut Hall of Fame in Cape Canaveral, Florida, from 2008 until she was accepted to Officer Candidate School (OCS) and joined the Navy in December 2010.

Following commission from OCS in March 2011, she earned her Information Dominance Warfare pin and qualified Anti-Terrorism Tactical Watch Officer, Officer of the Deck (In-Port), and FLAG Intelligence Watch Officer while completing two deployments and serving as MSI officer, SSES Officer, and INSURV Officer during her two-year tour onboard USS George Washington in Yokosuka Japan. Next serving at JIOCEUR Analytic Center in Molesworth, UK, as the Maritime Watch Officer, she hosted the WWII Veteran march and POW/MIA Soldier table ceremony annually at the Twinwoods Music Festival and completed an Individual Augmentee assignment for Shallow Fall, returning to the UK with a Joint Commendation Medal (JCOM). She was awarded a second JCOM for uncovering and rectifying widespread dereliction of duty within the base security detail.

From 2016-2018, LT Sheffield served as Targeteer for Carrier Air Wing One at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV, completing two deployments onboard USS Harry S. Truman within Carrier Strike Group Eight. She earned 3A1 qualification, completed the first draft of her novel, and managed a 25k improvement project for her Fernley property. Originally slated to work with the J2 in United States Forces Korea (USFK), LT Sheffield was headhunted for the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) Liaison Officer position at the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission (UNCMAC), liaising for two 2-Star NNSC Generals, 17 foreign ambassadors, and planning and executing two Armistice Commemoration Ceremonies within the Joint Security Area of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. She also served as Executive Officer for the UNCMAC Secretariat for six months and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander. During this billet, she founded Cinema Aficiona, which hosted weekly self-help meetings centered around classic media and literature's moral and spiritual analysis from 2020 to 2022.

Finally, LCDR Sheffield served as the N2 Department Head of Command Submarine Group 9 (CSG9) and Commander Task Force 114.3, SSBN arm of the Nuclear Deterrent Triad in the Pacific at Trident Base Bangor, WA.

In November 2022, she founded Metanoia Creative LLC and currently serves as the Creative Director and CEO, producing animated shorts, graphic novels, and live presentations and providing creative life coaching to clients in her spare time.
